I have reviewed the enterprise deployment guide, however the process is not working. I am constantly getting errors that acroext.exe isn't in the cab file. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Adobe Acrobat DC FeatureLockdown does not work (Outlook Plugin and Sharepoint)
I have to deploy Adobe Acrobat DC in our enterprise and facing an issue with the feature lockdown.
I set the registry keys HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown
- \cCloud --> bAdobeSendPluginToggle DWORD 0
- \cSharePoint --> bDisableSharePointFeatures DWORD 1
But I still have the "Add Account" option to add a SharePoint account as well as the "My Account" icon in Outlook and the "Send & Track" option.
Disabling Sharepoint works for Adobe Reader DC, but not for Adobe Acrobat DC.
Is there another possibility to disable those features, for example using the customization wizard?
The registry keys were added by an AutoIT script after the setup finished.
Thanks in advance.
Adobe Reader DC All Language Serial No License in a Corperate Environment.
hi Guys.
With regards to a Adobe Reader Corperate Distribution agreement and installing Adobe reader across the LAN.
According to the help files on the "multi language" Help part of the Reader DC Customization wizard it says that a "multi/all language Serial number can be purchased" for MUI installs,
Does anyone know how much this is and where one can be purchased from ?
Thanks
Jason,
[Acrobat Reader DC] HKCU registry keys are not replicated for each user as for Adobe Reader
For Adobe Reader, all the registry keys which are added with the Adobe Customization Wizard are automatically added to each user. Unfortunately, it is not the same with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.
They registry keys have to be stored in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\2015\Installer\Migrate to be automatically added in the HKCU of the user at its first launch of the application. But they are stored in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\[RegistryHiveName]\Installer\Migrate, as we can see on the screenshot below:
The problem is probably coming from one of the custom actions. The variable RegistryHiveName is not translated. I didn't make a lot of research, but waiting on a solution from Adobe, I made a PowerShell script which move the registry keys to the correct place:
Move-Item -Path 'HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\`[RegistryHiveName`]\Installer\Migrate\*' -Destination 'HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\2015\Installer\Migrate' -force(PowerShell has to be executed in 32 Bits)
If Adobe can correct it in the next version, it would be nice !
Customization Wizard DC
Hi,
i have problems with the customization wizard DC. I try to deploy Adobe Acrobat Reader 2015 and Acrobat 2015 Pro (both classic track -> thatswhy 2015 is right, or?).
Because i did not find an CW for 2015 I used DC instead... maybe thats the problem - i dont know...
I try to set Security -> Protected View -> Files from potentially unsafe locations but i did not work neither with Reader nor Pro version, its always "off" after installation and opening the application as default user. Was not a problem when we customized version 11 with the CW for 11.
Because it was a recommendation i already uninstalled CW for 11 and try to edit/add some registry settings manually or with the CW is not the way it should be.
Anybody got a clue on that?
Thanks Sascha
How to determine Which Acrobat DC version is installed? Pro or Std
I need to track which computers have which version for Licensing and update purposes. I use Dell K1000 for tracking and updating. With Acrobat XI, Pro and Standard had different uninstall registry keys so I was able to track them with a simple check for which registry key was on the computer. They would also show up separately in Dell Case stating Pro or Standard. However, With Acrobat DC the uninstall keys are the same and they both only show up as Acrobat DC in Dell K1000. How does Acrobat DC determine which version is installed and how can I duplicate it so I can count used license and install the correct updates?
Do I have the wrong Acrobat.tlb file?
I am trying to connect to Acrobat XI (11.0.11) from Outlook 2007 to extract some contents, but wasn’t able to instantiate the Acrobat application. I referenced the Acrobat.tlb file, which is shown as “Adobe Acrobat 10.0 Library”. I suspect this is my problem. Shouldn’t it say “… 11.0 Library”?
When I tried to instantiate to Acrobat application, I get this error:
“There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be found.”
I'd appreciate any help resolving this problem. Thanks.

Looking for Description of All Registry Keys
I was working on deploying Adobe Reader X and Adobe Acrobat X (Pro/Std) and there was a webiste that was provided by Adobe that gave all the registry keys nad what they did. It showed which ones were depreciated and a bunch of other useful items.
I also recall that I needed to install Adobe Air for this to function.
I had my machine rebuilt and cannot locate this Reference...
Does anyone know what I am referencing and where that location is again?
this was a great help and would like to use it again.
Thanks in advance...

We are using Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, Windows 7 with IE 9. Security?
We are using Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, Windows 7 with IE 9. When we attempt to open a .pdf file we are prompted to "Save", "Save As" or "Open". Is there a way to eliminate this prompt? It does not seem to matter whether we are openning through IE of directly from Adobe. We are attempting to view images from a web based application.
Reader 10.0.0 MUI Patch Upgrade Sequence
I wanted to confirm my understanding of the Reader MUI patch sequence is correct.Lets say I have a bootstrapper installation that contains the base version 10.0.0. My understanding is that in order to get Reader to the most current version I need to install the 10.1.0 patch and then the 10.1.3 patch. For example 10.0.0>10.1.0>10.1.3. Are these the correct patches that need to be installed to ensure Reader is fully up to date?
Adobe Acrobat Pro DC silent install Fehler
Hallo
Gruss
Fabian
Customization Wizard Not Working on Prior Install
I am using the Acrobat Customization Wizard to disable some features and customize the install for our organization. I had Acrobat DC installed on a workstation and I want to update the install with the new settings, so I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times and it will not disable the Document Cloud features. I have done this on several other workstations that I have already installed the out of the box software and I haven't had any issues, it is just the one workstation that I can't get it to remove that functionality.
How to disable protected mode in Adobe DC using cust wizard?
Hi does anyone know how I can disable protected mode at startup in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC either using the customization wizard or using the registry? I have found articles for version XI and version 10 but not sure if these will work with DC.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks

Acrobat pro X error: Cannot use this product under a guest account
We are installing acrobat pro with GP on XP systems. The install goes fine but on some users machines when they launch the program it comes back with
"Cannot use this product under a guest account". The users are admins on the system. If I uninstall acrobat pro 10 and reinstall in manually the same error happens. (note these systems had acrobat pro 9 installed, but was un-installed with the acrobat pro 10 MST)
Post Installation/Deployment Software License Agreement Suppression Acrobat X Pro
I just stated with a new organization and we recently [successfully] deployed Adobe Acrobat X Pro (10.1.0.534). However, we're receiving reports (from users and IT staff alike) that when launching the application, it runs for 30 seconds or so, quits then prompts the user to accept the Adobe Software License Agreement before they can actually use the application. Having just walked into the door, I can't confirm it was packaged with the Customization Wizard, but that is looking less & less likely.
So, having deployed this to about 2000 clients, how can we go about suppressing (read: accepting) this Acrobat Software License Agreement at an enterprise level? (We'll figure out how, I just want to know what setting needs to be in place to eliminate this prompt.)
In the past (e.g.: Acrobat 7, 8 & I think 9) we were able to suppress this via a registry like:
- reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\VERSION\AdobeViewer" /v Registered /t REG_DWORD /d 00000002 /f >>!_BatchLog! 2>>&1
- reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\VERSION\AdobeViewer" /v EULA /t reg_dword /d 00000001 /f >>!_BatchLog! 2>>&1
- reg add "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\VERSION\AdobeViewer" /v EULA /t reg_dword /d 00000001 /f >>!_BatchLog! 2>>&1
But I believe either in 9 or X (10.x) EULA changed to EULAAcceptedForBrowser and with this being a 64-bit version of Windows 7, I figured it would be in one of a few places:
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\10.0
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\10.0
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\10.0
I'm seeing EULAAcceptedForBrowser in the AdobeViewer key in locations 1 & 3 above so I exported both AdobeViewer keys & imported it elsewhere, but its still prompting.
So, on a whim, I added the three bulleted keys above and when launched, it worked fine. Yay!
After about 30 seconds or so, it behaves exactly as I described above: The application launches, you can work in it, but after at most 30 seconds, the application closes and launches the licensing agreement (PDApp.exe) again. What. The. Heck.
So, experts out there, what are we missing? How can we get this resolved without doing in place reinstalls or uninstalling/installing? We have to keep user interruption and fatigue to a minimum, and another 'deployment' is just not an option.

Adobe X Standard Licensing error
I am having trouble installing Adobe X Standard on windows 7 machines. I am putting it on a image. It is giving users the licensing error message and to uninstall and reinstall. After we uninstall and reinstall we don't get this message. I used the Adobe Customization wizard to create the install package. Anyone seen this issue before?
How to remove "add account" in Reader DC
I am testing new package deployments of Adobe Reader DC prior to releasing it.
I have used the customization tool for Adobe Reader DC to create a MST file so its a tailored install. The only thing it seems is, I can not alter or remove is the "add account" for Microsoft Share-Point.
At this time our organization does not have Share-Point and possibly not anytime soon.
How can I remove/disable that option? I would rather not spend the administrative overhead on training end user to ignore that it exists.
