I'm having an odd issue with some systems (but not all) and can't figure it out. Some installs (not all, it seems) are going through after the latest 10.1.3 update in German, not English.
- We deploy from a download image direct from Adobe's licensing site (we have only one download option, and it's English)
- Customization is done via MST files unique to each license
- Deployment happens via GPOs
- The language options are greyed out in the Customization Wizard, but we use English only
- I tried generating completely new MST files but that doesn't seem to help
I am familar with the process of creating, updating, and deploying via AIPs.
I re-downloaded the source image, and created new AIPs and updated to 10.1.3. But a handful of systems are showing all menus within Acrobat in German.
I run the setup or MSI files on a system with the issue, and the interactive setup dialog (whether the software is installed and it's trying to ask if I want to reinstall, repair, or remove, or not installed) comes up in German. I run the same file form the same location on another system that is not affected, it comes up in English.
I checked the regional settings on the client system, but everything is set to English. spect a cached MST/INI type of file is doing this, but where? Manually removing the software, or removing via GPO doesn't change a thing--if I try and do either then manually installing again (or re-deploying via GPO) has it coming up in German again.
The language settings are typically grayed out inside of the Customization Wizard, but I did at one point get into the lanaguage options, for back to English, generate a new MST and re-deploy ... this changed nothing.
Where else should I look?
