Acrobat XI freezes regularly in Remote Desktop on Windows 2003 Server 64-Bit

Hello.  I upgraded to Acrobat XI because users were having problems with Acrobat 9 freezing on them often.  Installing XI only made the problem worse.  I have gotten many complaints that Acrobat is hard to use now because it hangs so often.  We run Windows 2003 Server R2, 64-Bit, and have about 10 users connected via Remote Desktop.  I was wondering if there is an earlier version of Acrobat that is more stable.  I think when we were back at 5 or so, it worked more smoothly.  We don't really need many advanced features.  Basically just simple markups and being able to print to PDF.
