LEAVE_PDFOWNERSHIP=YES - long delay in IE

Hi All,

I need to set AdobeAcrobat as the default program in browser(IE), therefor I was using Adobe Property "LEAVE_PDFOWNERSHIP" as follows:

msiexec /i AdbeRdr1010_de_DE.msi LEAVE_PDFOWNERSHIP=YES /qb!

It was working perfectly fine with previous updates (10.1.1 - 10.1.9). Unfortunately in the most recent update (10.1.10) something has been modified (I can't figure out what) and using the same Adobe Property, the same way, I experience massive delays (8-12Minutes) when opening pdf documents within the browser. (no issues at all by opening a pdf within the program)

Problem Scenario:

1. Install AdobeAcrobat 10.1.10 (msi + msp)

2. Install AdobeReader 10 base package- > msiexec /i AdbeRdr1010_de_DE.msi LEAVE_PDFOWNERSHIP=YES /qb!

3. Install patch 10.1.10 -> msiexec /p AdbeRdrUpd10110.msp /qb!

4. Start InernetExplorer (Version8)

5. Search for 'readme.pdf' document and open

As mentioned above opening a pdf document within the browser last at least 5-10 Minutes. (this was not the case with previous reader patches)

I have also noticed if I uncheck the option Enable Protected Mode under IE Security tab, the pdf document opens straight away (within a few seconds).

Is there any other way to keep Acrobat the default pdf viewer even after a Reader installation?

Any reply is greatly apperciated!

Thanks,

Zoltan
