Please note that I have already read many topics about that, many Adobe best practices, tuorials etc. But I do not understand. Someones says something, someones says another thing... I am confused now. I dont know what is a quaterly, OOC file. I dont know what is an AIP, MST, MSP file. Every things are confused in my head. So please, explain me.
And let me explain my issue.
I have deployed Adobe Reader 11.0.2 with an MSI file.
Now, when I try to install 11.0.6 with an MSI file, extracted from the EXE file.
When I try to install it, I got an error saying another version of Adobe reader is already installed.
OK
I have found that I need to update to 11.0.3, then 11.0.4, then 11.0.5, then 11. 0.6.... I have tried 11.0.3 and I got an error saying that I cannot install this update.
Then I have found that I can update 11.0.2 to 11.0.6 directly. I have tried installing the MSP file 11.0.6 which seems to be just an update. The error is the same.
Now I dont know how to update my Adobe reader 11.0.2 to a higher version.
To deploy Adobe reader, I just use a script :
msiexec /i \\Server\Share\\AdobeReaderVersion.msi /quiet /qn
That worked to deploy the version 11.0.2.
Now how do I need to do ?
Moreover, if you have time to explain me in two words what is an MST MSP file, OOC, quarterly etc... Please do, that would be interesting to know how all that works.
